Case-Based Learning in Pharmacy Practice: Observations from an Indian Pharmacy College

Today, it's getting harder to learn a career in pharmacy. In addition self-guided individual learning, pharmaceutical educators are required find and adopt ways that support higher-level thinking, collaborative student motivation. One strategy achieve these aims is develop use case-based learning as an traditional teaching techniques. They learner-centered, small-group, interactive experiences opposed large-group, teacher-centered, didactic instruction. A cross-over study between two groups equally exposed both lectures pedagogy musculoskeletal system diseases drug therapy; which involves assessment of perception small group responses towards learning. The outcome further investigated by administering objective structured clinical examination. vast majority the students reported satisfaction with sessions highly appreciated this method pharmacotherapy diseases. our study, more than 93.22% opined they enjoyed it held their interest motivated them better. ‘t-test post-test 1 2 scores was statistically significant P value 0.0001. This suggests CBL effective students’ reinforces important concepts, strengthening information retention long-term memory. conclusion, pharmacy practice contented encountered very positive impact on understanding knowledge therapies.
